About Me
Hello, I'm Mithlesh Kumar
I'm a Full-Stack Developer (SDE-2) with 5 years of experience building web apps that handle real-world complexity (and real-world traffic spikes). Currently working remotely at eKincare, where I wrangle Ruby on Rails and React to create healthcare solutions for 800,000+ users who (hopefully) never see my bugs.
"I love solving complex problems and building apps that actually help people. Also, I'm really good at Googling error messages."
My Journey into Programming
I've always been a geek at heart, and computers fascinated me from an early age. That curiosity led me to think, "Why not give programming a try?" So I did, and I haven't looked back since.
I started my development journey in January 2021 with a formal education — a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Over the past 5 years, I've evolved from a curious beginner frantically Googling "what is a variable" to an SDE-2 building production systems that serve hundreds of thousands of users (and yes, I still Google things daily).

Non-Technical Skills
What Drives Me
I'm passionate about building systems that don't fall over and leading technical initiatives that actually deliver value (not just endless Jira tickets). I thrive when designing solutions for hundreds of thousands of users, mentoring developers (and learning from them), and making sure our codebase doesn't become a nightmare for future us.
My experience includes architecting systems for 800K+ users, leading cross-functional projects (with all the meetings that entails), and making technical decisions that balance "this is elegant" with "this will actually work on Monday morning." I'm ready for Senior Engineering (SDE-3) roles where I can take on bigger challenges, lead teams, and shape technical direction while still getting my hands dirty with code.
Beyond Code
When I'm not coding, you'll find me:
-
Trekking — Exploring nature and challenging myself on mountain trails -
Swimming — Staying active and clearing my mind -
Reading about tech — Keeping up with the latest in software development, architecture, and best practices
Why This Blog?
I'm starting this blog to keep a record of my personal learning and growth. It's a space where I can document new technologies I explore, challenges I overcome, and insights I gain along my journey as a developer.
Years from now, I want to be able to look back and see how much I've grown — and hopefully, my experiences can help other developers on their own journeys too.
